One of the best parts of my job is the people I get to work with. I’ve met so many kind, thoughtful pet owners who absolutely adore their animals, and it’s such a joy to be part of that journey. When I think about my “ideal client”, it’s not about rules or being picky – it’s about celebrating the qualities that make working together so special 🥰
If you’re a client, know this – it’s because I think you’re the perfect fit. I take on only a few clients at a time, so I choose people I know I’ll genuinely enjoy working with and whose pets I can provide the best care for.
Here’s what makes a client truly ideal for me:
Truly love their pets – Their animals are a treasured part of the family, and it shows in everything they do.
See our work as a partnership – When I share advice or ideas, they know it comes from a place of wanting the best for their pets, and they’re happy to chat through ways to make life even better.
Celebrate the little wins – Whether it’s progress with training or a new funny quirk, they take joy in every step of their pet’s journey.
Enjoy the updates – They get excited when I send a message or photo, and it makes me so happy to share those little moments with them.
Have healthy boundaries – They love their pets dearly, while also teaching them to be polite and respectful.
Trust me completely – Being trusted with someone’s much-loved companion is such an honour, and it makes the bond I build with their pets even more rewarding.
Bring joy to the relationship – They laugh at their pet’s antics, share stories, and celebrate the personality that makes their pet so special.
See me as a key part of their pet's life – They keep me in the loop about what their pet has been up to when I haven’t seen them for a few days, share any changes or updates, and make me feel truly valued in their pet’s world.
Looking at the clients I already have, I realise how lucky I am. The bond I share with them – both human and four-legged – is built on trust, care, and mutual respect, and I couldn’t ask for better.
