About

From a young age, I’ve always gravitated towards animals. My earliest memories involve holding our puppy as a child, asking for a kitten, and begging to go horse riding. I was always happier sitting quietly with animals than playing with other children – and even now, I find them the best company. These days, I share my life with a dog, a hamster, a horse, and a husband who’s just as animal-mad as I am.

After finishing school, I went on to study a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Equine Business Management. I also worked with horses as a freelancer alongside a full-time job in fundraising. My studies and hands-on experience gave me a strong foundation in animal behaviour, including classical and operant conditioning, and how positive and negative reinforcement and punishment work in training.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a huge variety of dogs – from energetic, high-drive working breeds and rescues from abroad to gentle giants like mastiffs. I’ve supported dogs with separation anxiety, reactivity, and those who simply need more confidence in everyday life. I’m comfortable handling large, powerful breeds, as well as those with strong personalities or endless energy!

These days, I have a real soft spot for the smaller end of the scale – especially terriers. I believe they deserve the same respect, training, and understanding as their bigger counterparts. A small dog’s boundaries and needs are just as important, and I enjoy helping owners bring out the best in them while making sure they feel safe, understood, and happy. My main focus is always on building a strong partnership between dog and owner, rather than focusing solely on obedience.

I’m DBS checked, fully insured, trained in canine first aid and CPR, and a Certified Freelancer with the British Grooms Association. My approach is calm and thoughtful, with trust at the heart of everything I do. I often use enrichment like scent work, games, and structured walks to help dogs feel more settled and confident. As a Neutral Walk Leader for Honest Hounds, I run relaxed group walks for dogs who may find busy environments overwhelming.

To keep my knowledge fresh, I invest in regular professional development, including:
