This Might Not Be Your Kind of Dog Training (And That’s OK).

Dog training isn’t one size fits all, and it shouldn’t be. There are lots of different approaches out there, and what works for one dog or family might not work for another.
Training is about people as much as it is about dogs, so it’s important to be honest about who I work best with.

I might not be the right trainer for you if:
You’re not open to looking at the whole picture. Training rarely exists in isolation, so things like diet, sleep, routine, exercise, and enrichment all play a part 🧩
You’re hoping for a quick fix. Sometimes they exist, but more often real change comes from small, thoughtful shifts in daily life rather than a single solution 🔨
You’re not keen on incorporating play. For me, play is a big part of building communication, motivation, and connection 🎾
You’re not quite ready to change too. Training isn’t just about the dog - the human side of the puzzle is equally important, and the process can ask a lot of us 🤍
You want obedience to come before partnership. Of course I can help with the basics, but what matters most to me is building a relationship where your dog wants to work with you, and you don’t feel like the fun police all day 🚓
You’re still focused on alpha theory and aren’t open to exploring different approaches 🚩
If this sounds like the kind of support your dog could benefit from, you might be interested in one of my intensive training weeks. Each week gives your dog two hours of focused, one-to-one training each day, working on things like recall, lead walking, confidence, or socialisation. I work with your dog directly for most of the week, then bring you in towards the end to show you everything we’ve done and provide a tailored action plan so progress continues at home.
If you’d like to know more or see if your dog might be a good fit, you can pop me a message or submit an enquiry through my form here.
