The Gear I Can’t Live Without

I don’t believe in gatekeeping the good stuff - especially when it comes to dog gear. Spend enough time out and about with dogs and you quickly learn what actually makes life easier (and what ends up shoved in a cupboard, never to be seen again). These are the bits I reach for every single day and genuinely couldn’t do without 🥰

Maliko Training Belt

This is hands down the most useful bit of kit I own. It holds everything - treats, toys, first aid supplies, the lot. In the summer especially, when I wasn’t wearing a jacket with pockets, it became essential. It keeps everything in easy reach without me having to juggle things in my hands. They're also releasing an improved version, link to pre-order here.

Tug-E-Nuff Toys (yes, plural)

I’ve built up quite the collection! They’re brilliant for dogs learning recall and for those with a strong prey drive. My personal favourite is the Sheepskin Bungee Chaser - it’s sturdy, fun, and keeps dogs engaged without me needing to sprint up and down fields. Teddy is absolutely obsessed with it and if she sees something interesting then I pull it out, she immediately gets far more excited about the toy than whatever creature she was going to chase.

I love these toys so much I signed up to be a Partner Pro with them and if you use this link, you can get 10% off your order.

My Twiggy Tags 10m Waterproof Tidal Longline in Azure

Not every dog is ready to be fully off lead, but they still deserve the freedom to explore and find those good sniffs. A good longline is a must, and this one is my go-to. I've tried other longlines and I hate the feeling when they're soggy and sandy and when the clips start to seize up from the ocean.

This one is waterproof, which is a blessing - when it gets caked in mud or sand, I can just hose it down and it’s good as new. They also come in other gorgeous colours (I've got my eye on the Fern one).

Earth Rated Lavender Poo Bags

Let’s be honest, poo bags are not the most glamorous bit of kit, but they’re the one thing none of us can avoid. These are genuinely a game changer. They’re thick enough not to split (because nobody needs that disaster), and the lavender scent does a surprisingly good job of masking even the worst smells. Plus, they’re made from recycled plastic, which makes them a little kinder to the planet.

Final Thoughts 🧠

To sum it up, with the number of dogs I’m out with every day, this kit has been thoroughly put through its paces. I went a long time without most of it, and the moment I finally got it all, my day-to-day became so much easier.

And just to be clear, only one of these four brands technically sponsors me. All of these products are simply things I rate highly because they work. Reliable, practical, and dog-approved, they’ve earned a permanent place in my routine 🐾⭐
