What are the benefits?
It’s dog led, letting your dog take the lead and make decisions, which naturally builds confidence, strengthens your bond, and helps you learn to read your dog’s body language.
It’s brilliant mental enrichment, low impact, and suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities, including reactive or nervous dogs. Each dog works individually and rests in the car between turns, keeping the environment calm.
Sessions can be tailored to suit you and your dog, so you progress at a pace that feels right for both of you.
Why should you choose me as your instructor?
I’m a fully qualified instructor with the Association of Professional Working Dogs. I’ve been trained one-to-one by a highly experienced, now retired Mantrailing Instructor accredited by the NTIPDU (National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users). They have worked internationally training operational teams and developing dog handler courses, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards in specialist dog work, including search and rescue. They have also served as a Team Lead and operational dog handler.
Alongside mantrailing, I have hands-on experience working with a wide range of behavioural needs, including reactive and nervous dogs. I’m confident adapting sessions to suit each individual team, making sure both dog and handler feel safe, supported, and capable from the very start.
Mantrailing should feel exciting, not overwhelming, and my goal is to give you the confidence and guidance to enjoy the journey together.
