Terrible Teens Package
This programme is suitable for dogs from around 6 months to 2 years of age and is designed to support you through the ups and downs of adolescence with practical, evidence-informed guidance.
Investment: £450
Because adolescence doesn't follow a timetable, your sessions can be booked when you need them most, giving you support through the challenges as they arise.
Available to people within 30 minutes of Keiss, Caithness.
Adolescence can be one of the most challenging stages of dog ownership. Your once eager puppy may suddenly seem to have forgotten everything they knew, become easily distracted, push boundaries or struggle to cope with the world around them.
The good news is that this is a normal stage of development, and with the right guidance, you can help your dog grow into a confident, well-mannered adult.
My Terrible Teens Programme is designed to support you throughout your dog's teenage months. Rather than fitting everything into six consecutive weeks, you'll receive six 1:1 training sessions to use over the course of a year, allowing support when you need it most as your dog's behaviour and development change.
The programme includes:
• 6 x 1 hour 1:1 training sessions to use over 12 months
• Personalised training tailored to your dog's changing needs
• Ongoing support via message throughout the programme
• Video feedback and training critiques between sessions
• Practical homework to continue your progress at home
• No question is too small, support is always available
Topics may include:
• Understanding adolescent development and behaviour
• Building engagement and reliability
• Recall and loose lead walking
• Confidence building and resilience
• Managing excitement, frustration and impulse control
• Appropriate socialisation and real-world skills
• Meeting your dog's breed-specific needs
• Preventing unwanted habits from becoming lifelong behaviours
