Why I do what I do.

Some of my earliest memories involve animals: the first time I sat on a pony, the first time I begged for a kitten, the day we brought home our family dog, Bessie. From then on, I was captivated. I wanted to be around animals all the time.

Whenever we went to someone’s house for dinner, my first question was always, “Do they have pets?” The answer mattered more to me than the food, and I still remember the sting of disappointment when there weren’t any. Growing up, we always had animals, and I knew one thing for certain: when I grew up, I wanted as many of them in my life as possible 🤍

As an adult, though, I found myself working office jobs. One day it hit me. I didn’t want to spend my life stuck behind a desk. I wanted work that made my heart happy, not just my bank balance. At the same time, I had a dog walker for my own dog but wasn’t thrilled with the service. That planted the seed: what if I did it differently? What if I created a service that gave people the peace of mind I had been missing?

So, on a Friday night, I set up a Facebook page and a simple website. By Saturday, I had my first booking. It’s been non-stop ever since 🥰

From the very beginning, my goal has been to offer the best service I possibly can, to go the extra mile, to be someone animals feel safe with, and to treat each one as an individual. I love learning their quirks, building routines, and becoming their friend. No two days are alike. One morning I might be with a tiny puppy, the next with a horse, and in between I get to see my wonderful regulars.

It’s not always easy, but it’s the best job I’ve ever had. Being my own boss, running my business my way, and spending my days with animals is exactly where I want to be. The highlight of every day is seeing their beautiful faces 🤍
